Ever have one of those days when everything you own stops working properly? Well, these last couple of days have been challenging on the computer front, thanks to viruses and general mayhem. I could barely read any blogs. And don’t get me started about cars or cellphones! Yet that’s nothing compared to what’s happening at the northeast, thanks to winter snowstorms. I scream, you scream. . . .
Anyway, here I am back once more to announce the second annual Ice Cream Giveaway! Yes siree! This year, this was the giveaway that almost wasn’t. I don’t know about you, but when something bad happens, I tend to withdraw until everything is great again. Well, time for a new strategy—doing what brings me joy despite the external circumstances.
Giving away ice cream in the winter seems crazy. But that’s what makes it fun! As I mentioned last year, I found a place that delivers ice cream, sorbet, or gelato to your door—Ice Cream Source.com. (Sorry. Deliveries are made to the U.S. only.) And like last year, there can be only ONE winner of a pint of ice cream—just like there can only be one Highlander! (Okay, that’s an old movie/TV show you probably never saw.)
Click on Ice Cream Source.com above to look at their list. When you return, comment and mention the flavor you’d like to have. Also tell a fun way you keep warm in the winter. If you live in a warm climate, tell a way you warmed someone’s heart by something you did for him or her or describe something that was done to warm your heart. Don’t be shy!

First of all, Blood Orange sounds gross. Chocolate Peanut Butter is always a favorite and nobody else in the house likes it. 🙂
I feel the same way. Anything with Blood in the title usually merits a pass from me. But I love chocolate peanut butter!
I’m at a loss of the blood thing too. Maybe a few anime or movies.
I’m not an ice cream fan, but my husband is. He loves Bluebell icecream best but we have bought Ben & Jerry’s. For him, he would like the blueberry vanilla graham or strawberry cheesecake.
We live in a place with mostly mild winters, so I will tell you something that warmed my heart. My friend and I went down to our local cafe one day and when we finished and went to pay for our food, someone had aready paid it. Never did find out who did that, but it totally made my day!

I love ice cream but an adult onset of lactose intolerance had severely cramped my dairy intake! But what a nice idea–sweets from a sweetheart!

Oh my, I can’t believe there is an ice cream club! I remember your contest last year, L. Marie. Didn’t Phillip win? I’m not a fan of ice cream, so don’t enter me. I’m always cold and ice cream makes me freeze. 🙂 I hope everything starts working again.

I keep monitoring my computer with regular virus scans. Sigh. And now there’s another update on the iPhone. I’m really tired of these updates. They mess everything up!
I’m sorry. I know how you feel. I’ve had updates and then the next day, nothing works. How nice it would be to go back to pen and paper. Actually, I still do. 🙂

But someone warmed my heart the other day. I was proving inept at using the fitness equipment at the clubhouse and a perfect stranger stopped in the middle of his reps to help me out!

I would love to enter, but I am in the process of moving and worried that the ice cream may show up to the wrong address. (It already happened to a giant cream cake my sister-in-law sent.) However, my new apartment in New York City is within a few blocks of four top-notch ice cream factories, places that supply the city’s upscale restaurants.

When it gets cold in SC, my feet are always two chunks of ice. MTM lets me put them under his legs in bed, and regardless of how they turn his skin to gangrene, he never complains. They warm up, and I’m asleep in no time.
