Today is Veterans Day. But also, I can’t help thinking about those in the Philippines who have lost loved ones due to the recent typhoon.
You are in my thoughts and prayers.
Today, let’s remember them, and also honor loved ones who serve or have served our country in the military. I have many relatives who did. While you’re at it, take time to hug someone or offer a word of encouragement. At times like this, we all need it.
Some of us may not have enlisted in the armed forces, but we’re veterans of life’s skirmishes nevertheless. We’ve faced depression, heartbreak, sorrow, and losses of many kinds. We get back on the front lines every day, serving our children, our coworkers, our friends, our spouses, and even the strangers we pass along the way. We get knocked down, and we get back up and go on to fight another day.
Today, fight the good fight. And remember.
Rejoice with those who rejoice, weep with those who weep.
